Tomi Ahonen

Bestselling author of 12 books and a leading consultant in mobile with a global client base from the Fortune 500. Lecturing at Oxford University's short courses on mobile, Tomi is referenced in over 120 books by his peers. Seen at over 250 conferences speaking in over 50 countries on all six inhabited continents, his cumulative audience has passed 100,000 people. His opinions are quoted in over 350 press articles such as Wall Street Journal, Business Week, the Economist and Financial Times. Forbes measured Tomi as the world's most influential expert in mobile in January 2012.

Tomi Ahonen was born in Finland, lives in Singapore and runs a boutique consulting company out of Hong Kong with clients around the world. A decade ago, Tomi Ahonen headed Nokia's Global Consulting and oversaw Nokia's 3G Research Centre. Before Nokia, he worked for the carriers/operators Elisa/Radiolinja and Finnet Group in Finland, and started his technology career at New York City's first ISP: OCSNY. Mr Ahonen's accomplishments include creating the world's first fixed-mobile service bundle; setting the world record for taking market share from the incumbent; and creating the world's largest multi-operator billing system. Tomi Ahonen serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Telecommunications Management and is co-chair of the Forum Oxford.
